FAM has recently launched the National Women's League (NWL), a women's football league consisting of 6 teams. Do support them.

Oh I did, they're great too. There's actually another one called Soong Kee nearby, equally good.

So bunch of assholes have been stealing durians and other produce from my family's backyard farm and yesterday has the audacity to shout at my family when we caught them in the act. Daring us to call the police. And they injured my dog indirectly.

By definition, first place is the house and 2nd place is the workplace. So your family and workplace whatsapp group perhaps?

And then what to be exact? It's a survival move for Gerakan. Quitting PN meant that they'll only be fading away as a small irrelevant party with the likes of PRM, PSM, and such. Joining PH would mean death for the party ala MCA since no one will give them a seat to compete.

Dang.... the traffic jam here would be horrific

There is a difference here. While both mean city centre, in our context the former meant the historical core of Kuala Lumpur, and the latter is the newer CBD area surrounding the Petronas Twin Towers that was developed in the 90s and beyond.

Some people do call the place Bandaraya, at least the area surrounding the DBKL building, especially since the LRT station nearby is named as such. Back before the rapid development of KL prior to the 90s, most of central KL we know today haven't existed in its current form yet, so the historical core area was referred to as such at least by the old timers like my father and his peers who grew up in KL during the 60s.

Also downtown and city center is an interchangeable term, isn't it?

There is a pusat bandaraya. In this case, it usually refers to the historical core of Kuala Lumpur, which center around the river confluence near the Central Market and Masjid Jamek. For a broader definition, the pusat bandaraya generally refers to all the areas inside the MRR1.
