I see the cops in my city, and a few nearby, at the gas station all the time. They all have gas cards. Some of the larger cities near me have pumps at a few of the city properties that the city employees can use to fill up city vehicles.

Seagulls are such a pain on certain beaches. Revere,MA outside the Kelly’s Roastbeef if you don’t eat in your car you may not get to eat all of your food. Those stupid birds will swoop down at you and take that shit out of your hands.
I have probably stayed in a homewood suites but I don’t really remember the room. I’ve been in so many hotels only a few really stood out.
I recall seeing some info coming out about porn and other stuff but after Tumblr and that shit show I figured they would be less likely to go forward with it or have some watered down policy that bans it but some things still get on the site anyways.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Reddit pulled a tumblr and banned porn and other NSFW content and just made it a site wide policy that nothing can be NSFW.
I had a job that put me on a plane at least once a week. Some weeks I would leave Monday for savannah and end the week in Colorado with stops in a few states along the way. Travel budgets were pretty good too so they weren’t super cheap on hotels but my preferred place to stay was residents inn because I usually got a full kitchen. My least favorite was Embassy Suites. The Embassy in Greensboro NC was the worst of them all. I got a room from them that had a soaking wet carpet and they all acted like nothing was wrong. You could hear a splash when you walked around.
Going from constant stays in hotels to AirBnB it can be a bit of a shock. I’m not one to make the rooms messy and usually I put a do not disturb sign for the week because I don’t need them to constantly clean the room but I have never had a note left in my room telling me if I don’t take my trash out of the room with me I was going to be charged a fee. I’ve never had a hotel tell me I need to pull the sheets off the bed and from a few friends I’ve talked to their Airbnb’s have made them do that on a few occasions.
When I stayed in the AirBnB there was a damn rules sheet for everything. Guests in the room? Fee. That one I understand a bit because of people renting Airbnb’s to throw parties but a fee if I don’t take out my trash? That’s stupid. The instructions to pull the sheets off the bed and “start the wash” or we would be charged. The washer was so small it was impossible to just start the washer. I wanted to be an ass and stuff it all in there but I didn’t want them to blame me for breaking the washer so I just let them charge me the fee and sent an email. It was an AirBnB in Fredericksburg Texas. With all that said yea I get it I’m some random person on the internet but there are videos highlight peoples experience with Airbnb’s shitty policies. I bet there are lots of fake experiences from folks trying to get clicks but these types of situations do happen. Maybe I picked a bad host and it’s not common but hotels have standards and staff for their properties. Some are shittier than others but for the most part the rooms are clean and service is decent.
I don’t travel as often anymore only a few times a year now.
I did not. I emailed AirBnB about it because it pissed me off and deleted the app. I had no intention of using the service again so I didn’t really care to waste my time to complain when all the listings I saw in that area had a ton of cleaning and other requirements I figured it was just how it was and didn’t want to waste my time.
Good. I used to travel a lot and spent lots of time in hotels. I used AirBnb once. It was last year and it was a hotel room with chores and extra fees to do what hotels do. So on top of traveling and being away from home you get to pay to pretend you’re at home. My host had all these stupid cleaning and other requirements that was super annoying. The thing that really set me off was the 45 dollar fee if I didn’t put the blankets and sheets into the washer before I left. They didn’t fit in the washer so it was their way to get me to do laundry without saying I needed to do laundry.
Every platform has their “bean” content. I spent enough time on Reddit to have dealt with the constant “the narwhal bacons at midnight” comments we used to deal with.
I’ve been lurking and trying to figure it all out so I’m not part of that stat so I’d imagine there are lots of folks like me. I’m not super active on Reddit but not having Apollo means I have to lurk somewhere else.
Looks like they are just baiting users to the site to get some traffic. Given how the user base is still pretty annoyed with Reddit I can’t imagine this is going to go well for Reddit.
