Going just by the title, (cause I did not read the article), it sounds like a blanket ban, so not just law enforcement. Think it would apply to companies as well, so a device like amazon doorbell can not just keep track of all people in a neighborhood, and stuff like that.

Yeah they released a sort of teaser trailer, don't remember much, but I don't think it had much game play.

That's good to know, didn't think running mo2 would be a possibility, thought I would have to install mods manually and manage all that myself. Guessing YouTube would be a good starting point.

Would future versions of Lemmy be able to sync multiple instance accounts with each other? Like hoxbug@1 and hoxbug@2 same point to the same comment?

That's the best explanation I have been hearing about how this all works, what happens if an instance goes down or disappears? Would all your comments and posts on another instance disappear ? Or does it sort of take a snapshot of it and becomes part of that instance you commented in ?
