Your definition is very nice, me too i like change. But in practice i see most liberal governments doing 1 main thing: keeping the status quo (racial inequality, homophobia, poverty etc.).

You pointed out 1 good thing about the dems: being passive. Is that all they've got? I have basically the same problem in my country, the quality of life for the average person here got worse more or less constantly in the past 20 years, with any major party in power
