It’s tough for me because I love native app experiences but most are so invasive. I won’t be surprised when companies drop websites completely.

The whole Reddit saga had me re-evaluate my social media use.

For Meta I switched just to the mobile sites and noticed that with Messenger, it can’t even be accessed from the browser, and Instagram won’t even let you login unless you turn off private relay. I doubt we’ll ever get a threads website.

Now if I use a native app, it is only ones that collect as little data as possible. I use Dystopia for Reddit occasionally, Ice Cubes for Mastodon, Memmy for Lemmy and Surfboard for Tildes.

Just got the App Store update this morning for version 0.1.1 and it looks like my issues with staying logged in are solved. Appreciate the quick turnaround!

Just a heads up, I get stuck with this little loading wheel until I force quit the app when I try to enable notifications.

Yeah it looks like I needed to sign in again for my subscriptions to appear after force quitting

Looks like you might have figured it out below in your discussion with RustedSwitch! Thanks for the quick response.

Thanks for this post!

I am really enjoying the update so far.

I have been having an issue where when I go to traverse, none of my subreddits are listed, and the subscribed feed is filled with random groups I’m not subscribed to.

Updating the JWT token like you recommend fixes it, but FWIW, I have had to do it more than once since the update.

I’m using memmy right now. I really like wefwef/voyager but I’m not a fan of the web app and having to add it to my Home Screen since I exclusively use search/App Library and keep my Home Screen empty other than - few widgets.

This was my first thought! I had to put a Wi-Fi extender right next to my Eve Cam for it to stop doing this.
