The only problem with federation is duplicate communities, and I don’t even see that as being necessarily a bad thing. I’ll subscribe to multiple communities for the same thing and if, over time, I end up getting annoyed with some of them I’ll just unsubscribe.

No thanks, I’ll stick with mastodon. But if Meta’s version is enabled on the fediverse then I welcome it

I miss the Apple related subreddits, that community hasn’t really seemed to move over yet.

I only browsed Reddit through Apollo so it will be very easy for me to stop using Reddit. There’s no way I’m downloading their awful app.

I love lemmy, way more than Reddit. I was already excited about the fediverse with mastodon and I absolutely love seeing another use case for it.

They have to be hiding the blackout while they do their best to reassign mods and open subs back up

Nah I used Reddit for 10 years and had been getting sick of it for the last few. I got started with the Fediverse with Mastodon at the end of last year and I am in love with the potential, especially after finding out about Lemmy. I really hope this system hits mainstream appeal.

I started off on lemmy.ml before the deluge and then today it’s basically inaccessible so I started up a new account over at lemmy.world. I browse by All anyway so I haven’t really noticed a difference.

Lmao what a dumb idea
