Agreed. This has turned into quite the game but hopefully it finishes this way. Even better if both teams accumulate some yellows.

I didn't realise there was another game today. On one hand, I want man U to suffer. On the other hand, I want all the teams in the top 6 aside from us to drop some points...

I see arguments both ways. Early issues with injury at Lille delayed his development and then he was unlucky to spend a few years on relegation teams where he could never really shine. He has twice been loaned out and subsequently had an option to buy exercised, which might say he has good character or might mean nothing at all. He has a strong goalscoring record for Stuttgart, but wasn't as impressive for Rennes the couple of seasons before that.

His numbers are definitely inflated by the first seven games of the season where two hat tricks brought him to 13 goals in seven games.

I'd say it's not very likely that he will get better, but from the small batch of goal highlights I've seen it seems like he could be a great option at his price purely for his ability to score the "easy" goals that our players seem to be allergic to. In saying that, a lot of his opportunities seem to be one on one with the keeper after breaking the line and that's probably not a great fit for us stylistically, with the amount of the ball we have

Lol! Can't wait. The Chelsea result has been a bit of Christmas cheer already this week. My Instagram feed has been full of memes about them and about ten hag losing his job after this next four game run

With silly season coming in hot, what do we think about guirassy and his alleged low release clause? 17 goals in 14 for Stuttgart this season

Merry Christmas! A little late from me hahaha

Can't you ask for an ambulance when you call the emergency line? That's how it is in Australia.

A possible explanation is that it's hard to punish because clubs use it sparingly and it's too easy to come up with convenient excuses, like cancellations or weather causing issues. Further, we don't want poorer/newly promoted clubs to be disproportionately punished under any such rules - there are already pitch quality rules in place which Luton fell fowl of.

And of course there's the argument that Liverpool's players had to play on it as well, and we could just as well do it back. Maybe we do.

The only "solution" I see is the league or the FA taking on the costs and management of pitch quality to ensure consistency across the board. That way, it reduces the chance of issues arising to gain competitive advantage. Maybe you could even save money, by having the clubs pay into a shared fund, and centralising the workload. That's a monumental task though, and I don't see it happening.

We've seen the same bullshit at Stamford bridge and the Etihad

Martinelli was so indecisive this game, it was really frustrating. The Trossard sub was the right move and it could've even come sooner for me. Happy with the result overall though, this weekend could've been an absolute nightmare for us if things fell differently.

I do wish we could just finish out dinner. So many really clear chances that just didn't get put away, although Liverpool were almost as bad in that regard so I can't feel too hard done by.
