Iโm having a similar problem. Submitted to join ~1.5 days ago and see that the account is created (same username as this account). But when I try to login it just spins forever.
note: Pretty sure that the account had not been created when I submitted to join. I checked the user page and the user age matched the date/time of when I tried to create an account.
