Start with learning what is supervised classification. Yes, those differentiate between car and dog projects are the starter packs. You can't straight up jump to the problem you have. If you do, you will neither understand not be abl to debug issues you will encounter.

Next , create your training , test and evaluation data. For this, you will need some human experts to look at 1000s of images and label them as "good" or "bad".

When you have sufficient data read to go, start training an architecture that suits you. Keep tuning it and test it on test data. When you find acceptable performance, go ahead and use it in your production line.

What I said is the rough outline. You need to pad it with courses on theory in probability and calculus at the very list. There are plenty courses in Coursera to start with. And you should definitely not avoid theory and jump straight into the task cause you won't be able to identify or rectify errors you see during training especially the tricky ones.

Thanks for the tax advice ! ❤️

Omg, really ? That makes sense ! I just accepted the mouse thing as a willy wonka side effect. Didn't realize this could be a part of the history

Imma check out the games you listed, they sound interesting!

Yeah, I have some games I'm picking up using the auction. Potentially math trade too ?

This year, my plan is to play more and shop less. I really regret purchases like precognition and don't want to make such a mistake again. Also keen on working for some of the publishers as a volunteer "rules explainer". Let's see how that goes 😅

I am going for all 4 days. So, don't have to worry about going through all the halls in a day.

Hmm, sounds good to me. I'm gonna focus on playing too. I am glad I was able to get Turing machine then but kind of have a fomo on such games this year. Hopefully I can see past that 🙈

I wanna try working at the stalls for some producers during Spielmesse (you explain games to visitors and it's on fhift basis) but don't know how that affects taxes etc because I'm already full time employed. Oh well, to be determined

The issue seems to be surviving rules explanation/reading. And is apparently an issue it with this game. Even Rodney's video wasn't a hit 😅

However, your other suggestions are great. I'll try that. I can just set the table up instead of waiting for a full acknowledgement in the very beginning

I think the struggle to go through the rules and getting bored in the process. It's funny to me because mage knight wasn't as much of an issue but this somehow isn't working out.

That's fine by me. I'm just wondering if there are other games out there that might be more of a success. Aeons end is an option I'm thinking of

Never heard of that in German. It's just marshmallows with a generic German accent instead. But it's cool to learn something new. Which region says that, OP?

Ohhh I'm so jealous. Travelling all the way from Berlin here. At least, by now, I have a constant Airbnb place I book for Spielmesse

So, have you all made a list of designers and stalls you wanna check out ? Any games that stood out to you ? Anyone volunteering or considering it ? Tips and tricks to share ?

I have a copy of mage wars arena that I love quite a bit. However I struggle to get it on the table. Because it's a 2p game, I have to rely on my partner being interested in playing it. Till now, I've had no success. Just to be clear, my partner is a boardgame nut.

Do you all experience the same ? If yes, how do you satiefy the mage wars arena itch ? Any other games that's similar in vibe but is easier to get on the table ?

Spirit island - branch and claw. Played in 2p mode. No tips or strategies since it was our first game after buying it. Played with no scenarios either and with both the new spirits. It went surprisingly easy.

Thanks for the uplifting words ❤️

Yeah, I've seen the movie. The best cluster fuck experience I could ask for. I still do not know what the donut was all about. 😅

What are you reading this week and any thought to share on it ?

I'd love to know what others are reading, why they think it's awesome (or not). In general, get an exposure to other sub genres of ML. Most of the papers I read are in the computer vision domain cause of work so I'd appreciate reading more about others.

So...

  1. Are you all interested in such a post ?
  2. If yes, which day of the week ?
