I just used PowerDeleteSuite to overwrite and delete my messages. I've also been using reddit for about 11 years. It feels sad in a way, like I'm losing a friend. The communities could be really great sometimes, and it'll take a while for the fediverse to truly catch up in terms of growth and features. I left my account active so I don't lose my saved posts but it might as well be dead, the app is garbage and the site is dying.

Lemmy has a hardcoded profanity/vulgarity filter?
Incredible article. Thank you for sharing!
RealDebrid? It costs and it's not exactly what you're looking for but RealDebrid + Stremio / Syncler / Kodi works pretty well for the most part. There's still a bunch of stuff that isn't cached though unfortunately
This is actually insane, the kind of shit I live for lmao
I'm also a lemmy.world user on Jerboa (I made my account two days ago lol) and I'm also very curious how this works. I've been really enjoying the chill vibe of beehaw but wanted to test out Lemmy on an open registration instance.
how did you get this image of me
All of that sounds great! I've been once before but I didn't really get to explore the city or wildlife since I wasn't there for very long. I prefer not to be in the concrete jungle areas but I know there's probably some really cool places to see so I'm def open to it
Addicted to information, that's a good way of putting it. I feel the same! The constant stream from reddit took so much of my time. I do miss it and it's still a good way to stay informed about what's going on in the world. I much prefer the forum style to TikTok/Reels/Shorts/etc, which feels like brainrot if you spend any amount of time scrolling through
That's incredible!! I live in SoCal (the high desert, blegh) and planned on making a trip to San Francisco later this summer. Is there anything specific you would recommend a trans woman visiting your city?
