Are there anything relevant on Chieftain for Boneshatter now? I don't remember any damage nodes.
glau
I second XCOM, if we are talking about the original two, Enemy Unknown/UFO Defense and Terror from the Deep. I heard good things about the more recent ones, but I never played those.
Might I recommend the timeless classic Heroes of Might and Magic III? Most of the campaigns are not too difficult after you get the hang of things, if I remember correctly. And you can get a hundred hours out of it even if you only play the official campaigns.
Quake III Arena. It came out in the 20th century, which sounds crazy to me. It was about 10 years ago I last played it or its remakes.
I got into Q3 a few years late, but there was still a fairly healthy local community for it back then. Quake 4 came out and then Quake Live, which I played for a while, but the local community was missing by then.
Sure I could still play it, but I'm guessing there aren't even enough people to fill a 5v5 capture the flag match anymore, Q3 or QL... a shame. But at least I have good memories of it.
Yeah I guess this could be more for a support minion used by non-minion builds. I remember people used to run even 1 socket golems because they could usually survive general mapping. I don't know if that's viable anymore, but a golem or zombie, that can survive the degen from this for a while, could work for everyone who can spare the sockets.
I can only see myself potentially using this in a secondary skill. Like Frenzy with culling strike, GMP and this on a totem build, maybe? I don't think that would be good either.
Do you try your janky builds first and go to the low budget "working" build if they don't work? Or do you use the regular build to provide funding for the janky builds?
Cool that you want to get people into PoE. I never did that, I don't know what people's succes rate in doing that is. PoE requires a particular type of slight brain damage to get into more deeply. :D
That's a good thing you made the community. It's just that it seems like a good idea for people who want to create a community from scratch to post at least a couple of times, so it's not completely empty in there.
I was there at the other community. I can be here too.
We are browsing lemmy.world's view of this community. Seeing what lemmy.world saw at the last time it synced with pathofexile-discuss.com plus all the posts and comments made since then, but only from users registered on lemmy.world. (At least this is my understanding of how federation works in this case.)
I'll probably try a General's Cry Shield Crush Berserker this time. I hope I can get my first two voidstones and gear up a more meta build with it after a while.
