Bookmarked! I can filter by instance (domain) and keyword. It's very fast! Thanks for making and sharing this!
I love it and hope the author continues to keep it updated. I can see many ex-redditors feeling very comfortable with this interface. Maybe I'll use it... in time. Just not a huge fan of reddit right now.
For the foreseeable future, I'm sticking with the default UI. I feel a strong sense of loyalty for LemmyVerse in all things.
I'm in the same position. I haven't deleted yet. I'm considering the following:
I'm still angry about everything and especially Spez's sociopathic behavior. Trying not to make a decision while angry (it's one of those rules of life).
Liftoff is still 'early access' and yet... so polished. It immediately became my go-to.
I can't believe that just a couple of weeks ago, we had a single (Android) solution. Suddenly, it's hard to keep track of all the clients...
I literally have 5 installed. Exciting times. The birth of a social network created by users for users.
I feel the same about my Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 (one of the last phones that still fully supported google/android) - it too has a pop-up camera. Recently I started looking at phones again and I was shocked that nearly everything out there has either a pinhole or notch on the screen.
It feels surreal that this was normalized. It doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. It's both crazy and frustrating. Sigh... these are the same companies making decisions about our future in so many little (and big) ways.
I like the sound of this and your strong inclination to block Threads, within the limits of the software.
Many (most) of us Lemmerians :-) recognize that Threads (via Meta/Facebook) represents the locusts of the tech world. As such, we have been given ample time to form a defense. If the software is limited in some way to deflect a full on assault, there may be enough time to remedy that in the coming months...
