Maybe he's ethically non-monogamous.

I agree. Nukes only work as a deterrent (for example) because the countries that have them "open carry" them. A concealed-program nuke is only good for after the fact revenge on a country that attacks you or an ally/neighbor. Just like a gun.

It is. I've got a Roku TV, which helps - I can search from the main screen, and it shows me which provider has the show.

It's a matter of priorities. Figuring out a pirating rig, how to work it into my life, how to use it, etc has a high level of inconvenience. For you, it sounds like paying multiple services has a high level of inconvenience. We each go with what is most convenient for ourselves.

Paying is more convenient because you don't have to set it up and maintain it.

Drive out into the desert and find a phone booth. Park next to it. The phone will ring. Pick it up. 50/50 shot it's them or your student loan officer.

It's not the brightness that's the problem. It's the sharpness and the strobe. Back in the old days, when they were spinning lights, they were nice and bright and got the job done just fine without those two aspects.

Thank, NPR, for mentioning migraines as one of the problems.

Now do an article on flickering, eye-piercing, migraine-inducing LED lights on emergency vehicles and crosswalks.

American police: "Only 1,100? Pfft! Amateurs!"

I'd read this book.

He shuts down major backbones, effectively turning off the U.S. Internet. At the same time, he releases a story to the media and telcos about a major attack on the backbones - a virus, whatever. There's panic and chaos, as the country grinds to a halt.

He uses that to declare martial law.

After a sufficient time (a small number of days, or even hours), he turns the backbones back on, claiming experts have fixed the problem. Citing martial law, he puts restrictions in place on the U.S, Internet, as dictators do.

We now have severely limited access to real news and information, martial law, and a dictator in place. American Democracy is dead.

Vote Democrat. No matter how much you think they're the same, they aren't.
