Highschool had filters to prevent students from visiting certain (most) sites, but for some reason a browser created using Visual Basic Studio's browser template worked just fine. At least I think that's what it was called. It's been a minute.

Not a tech nerd. But over 30 for sure.

Ah. This explains why my All feed got really weird really fast.

I suppose I should start planning for an alternative home media server at some point though. Never know...

People like myself who, perhaps, set up an Nvidia Shield as a Plex server can't really use it. I don't want my main PC running all the time to serve JF, and the Shield was a cheap and convenient way to serve Plex. If the Shield could serve JF, then that would be different, perhaps.

For all the problems with Reddit, I can see there being so many barriers to entry on here that will keep a lot of people from ever using or switching to Lemmy. Hope this gets ironed out.

Expat implies a refusal to integrate or fit in in general. Why should the host country care about such people in the slightest? I’m not from here and I’d use the word “immigrant” as I am not planning to leave anytime soon.

More of an interactive film, but I liked it for that. Kind of like Detroit: Become Human.

For me paying full price is my way of telling them to make more of these. So I’m happy to not wait for a sale on this one.
