I think I started with kiwi and ended up South African.
Anyway, this is the newest post that fits this month's theme of It's Like Poetry March and has [ILPM] in the title, so it'll be Featured in the Community until a new themed post comes along.

I’ll automate this in the future. ‘now’ refers to when the crawler at lemmyverse got the info, so it trails a bit behind.

Hi
Pls check how much traffic you're now sending out for every activity - my server is recording that everything from lemmy.world is being 4 times (e.g. 1 Upvote is sent 4 times to every instance that has a subscriber. Those instances will reject 3 of them for being dupes, but it's still a lot to be sending out).
lemmy.ca had a problem where they were sending everything 3 times, and it was because they were running 3 containers, and they all had the same index number, so maybe it's that.
Thanks.
I could add something as a comment to the post?
As for 'the yiff community of smeagle fans' - I don't know what any of those words mean, but it's fed by a enthusiast bot, so that's why there's so many posts. The community seems to have calmed down a bit in terms of activity now though (this data comes from a crawler, so it's always a bit behind)
I've been using users_active_month for Active Users but it doesn't seem to really update often enough (e.g. [email protected] had some activity in the 3rd week of February, but the UAM stat didn't change until 1st of March). I tried running the bot with users_active_day, but that's bit too dynamic - there'd be days will very few entries on if I used that. So I've compromised on users_active_week ... we'll see how that works out.
Suggestions are very welcome (it's still a work in progress).
The way it currently works is that raw percentage change is then mulitplied by the actual change and then divided by 100.
So, for small community:
10 => 22
(22-10)/10 * 100 = 120% change
22-10 = 12 actual change
(120*12)/100 = 14.4% change
For a big community:
10000 => 10380
(10380-10000)/10000 * 100 = 3.8% change
10380-10000 = 380 actual change
(3.8*380)/100 = 14.44% change
This weights the changes by community sizes, so - for these examples - a big community growing by 380 is the same as a small community growing by 12, meaning that the final list is hopefully a mix of both.
The entries at the top of each section (separated by newlines) are communities that haven't appeared in that section recently, so if you're following along every day, you can easily see what's new.
After that, the sort order is percentage change, but the actual percent isn't shown because - particularly for active user growth - it's often bonkers 10000% growth type stuff.
Edited to account for sh.itjust.works update
Beautifully restored.
Yeah. Some weird community on lemmygrad that - like the 'shit reactionaries say' community there - is marked NSFW for some reason.
I don't have my lemmynsfw login on me at me atm, so I can't edit this post. But I'll add 'shit ultras say' to the list of filters, so it won't appear on these lists again.
