I'm confused... We're talking about trying to make two fediverses here... That's kinda weird. I hear your "don't mix bleach with ammonia"... But if I see someone say that on Lemmy... Am I going to do it? How does it actually hurt me? I understand it's hateful and offensive, but this is a free and open internet, and that is one big reason I choose Lemmy/Mastodon over twitter/reddit. It's like the library... Have you ever seen something at the library you don't like. An opposing viewpoint? Do we defund the library and close it because there's a "gay comic book" in it? That happened in my area, very stupid. I come here for all my ideas, and expect to be offended by some. It's the internet. Plan to be offended... By 9am. When you wake up at 8:55a. And it takes you 4 minutes to pick up your phone.

But then again I could be a crazy conservative or liberal or something... Don't trust me.

Hello, epl692 here. Been an SDF user since... Oh... 2006 or so. That was a good year for SDF I think. Well... A good year to sign up. Been with the community since. Not always active, but im enjoying the Lemmy and Mastodon instances, board, irc, com, etc. Anyways, good to be here and still figuring this out. I have a reddit account. But always found the site to be somewhat limiting. Maybe I was shy? Anyways. Hello, world. Anyone know of a good command line client? I found neonmodem, but I can't seem to get it to work.

EDIT: It's neonmodem, not neomodem (made the correction), and it works just fine in the latest version, especially when you get your password right! Ha!

Honestly, I'm interested in 8 bit, I've played with other stuff and it seems to familiar. The NABU mentioned was a lot of fun in the emulator last night. I want something I might learn some asm on. The commodore was a strong condenser until last night, that's for sure.

EDIT: also, yes, fires are aweful. Don't recommend them. They mean dealing with... Insurance... Banks... Other evils.

Just curious, what does one need to get started with this thing? Probably more then what comes in the box? Looks interesting that's for sure.
