Im sure they've done reliability testing for real-world conditions. After all, this is Volvo, not Tesla.
1000km is not really that important tbh. From my experience with my Model Y that already has pretty good range, I can see that I only use a fraction of that in my daily life. As long as the car charges fast and is somewhat efficient, 1000km isn't really that relevant. 400-500km is plenty.
In terms of percentage, the use here has increased by a wide margin.
