it's almost like we'd make better pets than masters.

what if we all banded together for one action?

[–] dubious 1 points 1 month ago

that's the question we all have to collectively answer, so i'm asking you now in the hopes that others will see what you say. i don't want to put words in people's mouths, i just want them to talk it out.

stop trying to make sense of it. logic fails on the average conservative. you have to realize that there is no reasoning with them. that's the first step. once you do, you can then begin to ask yourself, "what do we do to stop them?"

[–] dubious 2 points 1 month ago

it's not. at any point, if enough people band together, we can make anything happen, with or without the government's support. we are looking down the barrel of global catastrophe. at some point, we have to do something.

[–] dubious 1 points 1 month ago

so what do we do?

[–] dubious 2 points 1 month ago (5 children)

it won't change their minds.

[–] dubious 5 points 1 month ago

and the more they shove this stuff into the curriculum, the dumber the people get. the dumber the people get, the more likely we are to sleepwalk into the next global catastrophe. the entire future of the world seems to hinge on what the people who are alive now do. so what do we do?

[–] dubious 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

so what is the most logical step if we are to avoid a global catastrophe?

[–] dubious 2 points 1 month ago

regardless of how much we make fun of them, point out their hypocrisy, etc., these people still have a say in our government. we are witnessing the beginning of the end of civilization. how long are we going to just stand here and watch the world burn?

i see the sarcasm, but now for a real question:

we are already seeing the things they warned us about years ago happening now. further unrealized warnings call for large habitat destruction. we could see large extinction events. the same people that bury their heads in the sand are the ones who stand in the way of legislating solutions to mitigate this. entire species of animals that are completely innocent could die because these ignorant people will block solutions. what do we do?

i can't tell if this is supposed to be sarcasm or not but this is godawful moral advice.

"stay comfy and forget about it if you can"

do we or do we not have an obligation to be stewards of the earth? obviously the decision is a personal one. i guess i've decided with my post existential thoughts that we do, and that if you don't agree with me, i don't want you on my team. or the planet for that matter.
