I used the time delayed PDS and mine seem to still be gone...

Ya, let's keep shortening everyone's attention span... Hate all short form videos!

I know this is not relevant to the story, but check out brave browser with some built in blocking. The article looked fine for me. (Just fyi). I use it on mobile and desktop.

For now, I just block communities with reddit in the name. That slowed it down a bit, since I'm still using all and finding my communities.

Oh, wow that long... Guess I didn't wait long enough to be sure. However 2 days in and I don't see comments that I saved a permalink to. (I did delete my account yesterday)

How long did it take for comments to come back?

So, I ran PDS (powerdeletesuite) last night and my comments/posts seem to all still be gone. I picked a random comment last night and opened the permalink so I could browse it logged out / in a private window. Still showing as gone.

Anyone know how fast they were restoring them? Wanna hold out with my account until I know my content is gone. 12yo account.

Thanks,

If your in Lemmy go to communities link, make sure you select all, then search/browse. You'll need to select one, and from there should see a subscribe button/link. Not sure if your "saving" them or what. Not sure I know what favorite means in your context.

It's definitely not ideal, but since YT has become my primary video media content, and it's also my music streaming services. The cost has value for my family.

I am technical enough to get things like revanced installed, or others. Even for our set top boxes.

The amount of energy truly prevent tracking is endless. For me premium does pay the content creators more for my views and I don't see/hear any platform ads.

It's not ideal, but every other streaming service you sign into is profiling you too.

Inside my house/Network I do run pihole, and I use brave browser and it's shield, as well as unlock origin.

Ideal? No, I'd rather everything be free but that's not reality

What percentage of yt creators are over there? I pay for premium, but yt is literally my primary video media consumption so I get value out of it. I also use yt music as my streaming service.
