Oh, I forgot to say: Cave story (I played it before it got on steam, idk if it changed there) didn't have keybind settings and keyboards in my country for some reason swap some keys. One of these were so far away from a comfortable position that I just had to borrow a controller to play it. If there are settings for keybindings in the mod then everything is okay.

When I first watched Nichijou it reminded me about this too. I thought the two were similar. But then Nichijou went ahead and improved on everything from jokes to animation. I still think Azumanga Daioh might have inspired it in some ways.
It's definitely possible to be a "support archer". I haven't played archer that much in LoTD so I can't speak about the experience but the mods promise to tweak the archer stats so there are no more sneak kills.
What I realized about the followers is they can be great companions but also hindrances too. Some mod followers (looking at you, Sofia and Recorder) have some voicelines that they repeat ad nauseam and I did have to send Sofia away (the final string was a bug that undressed her in combat and I couldn't force her to wear them again). Sometimes they get in the way and you can't see what you want.
But still, it's mostly fun playing with the followers and your idea is definitely a possibility if you are not going for the crit kills.
It looks really cool but the side margins are waaay too small for my taste. I tried putting some little 1rem margins back in the container css but that gave a bad bottom scrollbar (which is the most annoying on the communities list). It's getting late and there is work tomorrow but I might look into it more later.
It works, however I also started testing the old.reddit userscript and it removes nsfw blur by default. Separation of concerns failed lol
Oh no, her intestines, she is gonna have internal bleeding!
Made a small tweak for opening a community from my own instance:
// @match https://lemmy.world/c/*@lemmynsfw.com
When I saw the announcement of this community opening I immediately thought about this. I think this is the most active (despite the hiatus) thing connected to Cave Story nowadays. I still haven't tried it yet, because when I played the original, it didn't play nice with a keyboard at all, but I've seen some changelogs and some gameplay so it's definitely on my list.
In your opinion is the mod playable with keyboard or would you recommend a joystick for this too?
This has to be her second most iconic scene (following closely behind OH MY GAH - though this is more like the yellow cat's scene)
Hmm...it definitely changes combat (look up Ultimate Combat + Wildcat), but this is definitely a difficulty-based modpack. Still, with a bunch of followers it's easier, but you can quickly end up being killed in the heat by a bad swing of a warhammer.
Na naa, nanana nana nana na Katamari Damacyyyy~
Wow, this is it! Thanks for looking into my problem!
I just really don't like when content "hugs" the edge of the monitor.
