Gerrymandering is an effective way to get more votes. Any political party would try to do it.
Really, what we need is a system where gerrymandering is impossible.

Not everyone who has some conservative opinions wants to oppress people and vote for far-right politicians.
Freedom of speech means you can't be arrested for what you say. Any policies that ban certain types of speech are very clearly unconstitutional.
We're free to openly be as big of a piece of shit as we like with no consequences. If you use your freedom of speech to call us out, or use your freedom of association to kick us off your property you're oppressing us
Using freedom of speech to defend your opinion is literally saying "my opinion is valid because it's not illegal".
The fetus is a parasitic clump of cells until it comes- out of the womb
An embryo is a clump of cells. A fetus is an incomplete human body.
The fetus does not have the right to be born as it is a clump of parasitic cells, not a person.
Almost everyone agrees that sperm or unfertilized eggs don't have rights, but they do agree that a newborn baby has rights. At exactly what moment does it switch?
the government cannot force you to donate blood, even if it would kill someone else
There's a difference between mandating and banning a medical procedure. (Birth is different, that will happen without any intervention).
can sometimes kill her?
If the mothers life is in danger, then an abortion makes sense.
This is not an easy ethical question with a right and wrong answer. Just because you feel strongly about your answer, doesn't mean it is correct.
This is exactly the same thing as cash. If you buy a major currency, like usd, euro, bitcoin, ethereum, etc, then it will be much more stable than some random currency. Would you trust a cash currency that was created by some random dude in an alleyway?
Cryptocurrency is basically like digital cash. No one can control how you spend it, or take it away. But you can't undo transactions without tracking down the recipient, and getting them to give it back. If you don't trust anyone, cash and crypto are the only real ways to pay for stuff.
I definitely agree that outside of the us, discrimination can sometimes be a big problem. But the US has anti-discrimination laws, and I don't have any issues with those.
Also, I've looked into this labor share stuff, and it's really interesting. While overall labor share has decreased, the median labor share has actually increased. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2943059
Also, I'm not sure what conclusions you want me to draw from this. I totally agree with stuff like universal healthcare, helping people in poverty, and preventing megacorps from having additional mergers.
The us has 3 energy grids: east coast, west coast, and texas. As long as don't live in Texas, you shouldn't have issues with electricity.
I'm not gonna vote for you if:
I also think that being cis should be encouraged, and you should try to accept yourself. But if you can't, then maybe being trans is the solution.
And enforcing gender roles is just dumb. A boy can have long hair and play with dolls. A girl can have short hair and play with dinosaurs. Gender roles should be an observation, not a recommendation.
I'm mixed between both sides. But I know that everyone deserves to be loved and respected, no matter what.
I'm not saying I like him. But I just don't see a better system for the supreme court. If you have any ideas for how the supreme court system could be better, I'd be happy to hear it.
You think a systemic problem can be fixed through the same system that caused it, and has been causing it for half a century?
I think a new system would be better, but there isn't any realistic way to change it right now.
nobody is going to compete to be the most centered candidate right now.
Maybe. But if enough people vote based on how closely centered a candidate is, then the elected officials will be overall more centered.
Even if the parties have a big split, it's still better to have both, because it allows them to debate and work to find the best solution, which is almost always in the middle. I also really wish there were 3+ parties, because that would mean that no party had a majority.
(And for the record, the last time I voted was about 2/3 democrat. I might be more liberal, but I still have some conservative beliefs. And for a lot of things, I'm pretty torn between both sides.)
Corporations are neither evil nor nice. They are indifferent. By design they only care about money, they don't care about anything else.
