I got the POTD CD last time because I'm a fool/collector but I won't be getting the Flex one. the POTD packaging quality was not it. felt pretty cheap and it just...didn't look that well put together. unfortunately I'm a graphic designer so maybe I'm biased but yeah, just in case anyone's considering it

they're really going wild with giving us content lately, damn

still just singles for now and maybe a "compilation" at some point

I guess with the name and being released close to Halloween I was expecting something completely different, so I was a bit disappointed (was hoping for more POTD vibes). I've only had time to listen to it twice, but I'm leaning more towards liking it (but not loving it).

edit: just watched the mv and I like it a lot more now for some reason ¯_(ツ)_/¯

also got the tee with the red logo if anyone's curious about that

"The Voidz "American Way"

Recently, Julian Casablancas' experimental outfit "The Voidz' released a metal-infused romp of a single entitled 'Prophecy of the Dragon.' Its limited CD release featured the exclusive B-Side, 'American Way.' Presumably, Julian and company realized that almost no one has a CD player anymore and uploaded the track to their YouTube channel in celebration of Independence Day (the holiday, not the movie). 'American Way' is a somber reflection of our nation's history that serves as the near antithesis to the A-Side's fiery metal-psych riffage. With its scathing lines about progress being 'built on someone else's tears' it's the perfect track to mitigate the guilt you feel about having fun at your family's 4th of July barbeque."

scoop n scootery - can be a bit pricey, but I was addicted to it for like 2 weeks

new city microcreamery - some fun and different than usual flavors

taiyaki nyc - "prettiest" looking ice cream, also unique. also the vegan lemon & strawberry is so good

yeah, definitely caught me off guard the first time I scrolled by one. I was so used to all the nsfw pics being blurred.
