This is probably a stupid question, but for those of you that use Mastodon — how did you find people to follow?

I tried it out a few months ago but I didn’t like the few accounts they recommended, and searching for users or keywords didn’t get me too far either…

The account I share with family still works, but the second it doesn’t… it’s the pirate life for me

Anyone have recommendations for an app (iOS) that doesn’t have slide interactions with comments? I keep upvoting like 4 comments every time I try to swipe out of a post with wefwef/Memmy/Thunder…

I still think it’s absolutely insane that Google just willingly runs ads to so many illegitimate and deliberately harmful sites too.

If you search for any software and click one of the first few links (the ads), you’ll almost always end up on a scam site. What a useful search engine…

Got sick of Reddit, looked for alternatives, found sub.rehab, found Lemmy was common… here I am.

I tried to use Reddit for a couple days ‘after’ the blackout, but finally just deleted it and came here. The subreddits protesting content-wise was really effective—it’s just not enjoyable to use anymore and (hopefully, I guess) only getting worse.
