I did some research on what would be a good OS for someone coming from Windows and at the time Linux Mint was recommended a lot so that's what I chose.

Since the limit is to keep server costs down, I don't mind it. I use ImgBB.com for hosting images for my Lemmy posts.

Yeah that is a likely outcome. I was just trying to stay positive and hope for the best. When I think about how bad things can get with the misuse of AI, it makes me kinda depressed.

No. It was Cynthia G.

Cool, I hope she'll be happy at her new agency, and I'm looking forward to her future activities. I've liked Nayoung since I.O.I and I also enjoyed watching her in the drama Imitation. I didn't know she was in Flower of Evil. I've heard good things about that drama, so I'll add it to my must watch list.

Glad it's been reported. I just experienced the tag not working on Lemmy apps while it works fine on the desktop site and the mobile site.

I've made a post and a comment using the spoiler tag. On desktop and mobile Lemmy sites, it works as intended, hiding the text. In three apps I looked at the post & comment on, the spoiler tag doesn't hide the text. The apps I used are Jerboa, Liftoff, and Connect.

Hm, yes it doesn't work here either. I'll report this to Jerboa. Edit: They already know about it.

I think the spoiler tag doesn't work on Lemmy apps. Making this post to test it out.

Thanks for the YouTube Music link! This is a solid album. All the tracks are good. Natty's solo is my favorite.

I really enjoyed this episode. Unfortunately the Eng subs are bad. Timing is off and a lot of translations are missing. The translations that are there seem accurate, though, from what I saw. I ended up turning off the English subs since I know enough Korean to watch without them. Hope the Eng subs get better later or a better subbed version becomes available somewhere for everyone.

Hybe's gg survival show was previously called l-Land 2. I'm really happy they changed the format of the show from l-Land's which was quite harsh that I think it traumatized the trainees. Enhypen regularly tells Engenes not to watch l-Land, lol. However, not knowing anything about it, I watched l-Land this past January and it (and Enhypen's discography) made me an Engene so the show still has some merit. R U Next's format seems more light and I really like all the coaches. As a 2nd gen stan, it's great to see Jo Kwon, Gyuri, and Sooyoung together in one show. I wonder since Mnet isn't producing this show will we get to not have any evil editing. I hope so.

Spoilers below. I put them in a spoiler tag but it seems the tag only works on the website and not in the apps.

spoiler13:40 - Jungeun's a really successful fan to get coached by her idol Kim Jaehwan in this show. She said she was in the 1st generation of his fanclub. She was cute freaking out when she realized she'd have to perform in front of him.

21:57 - The debut group will be only 6 members?! Why not 7 like Enhypen? Historically 6 has been a bad luck number for kpop girl groups; plus, formations look better with an odd number of members. I hope they add another member at the end.

So the first round of the competition is a level test called Tryout that had them prepare a performance in groups of 3 or 4 only to find out they are competing with their group members. The coaches rank each member in each group as high, mid, or low. One person per level except for 4-member groups that can have 2 people at one of the levels.

1:05:18 - Iris's Latin dancing was impressive! Especially how she achieved that in 1 year. The dance coach, Coach Aiki, said she also competed in Latin dance and for Iris to be that good after 1 year of training means she's a genius.

1:37:38 - Lmao at Yunah saying her one & only rival is Jeemin and then Jeemin saying she doesn't have any rivals. I love her confidence. I bet that's one of the reason she got 1st in the monthly evaluation. I'm ready to see their group slay Miss A's Bad Girl, Good Girl next episode.

I enjoyed the performances, but I feel like this has autotuned vocals like the performances in iLand.

Turns out I missed the voting window by one day. It ended on July 5th. That's fine though because I want to see all the performances before I vote, if I decide to vote. I might just watch without voting.

Individual fancams of the performances are uploaded on HYBE LABELS + youtube here.

They slayed! I'm so happy for Natty's gg debut! I remember watching her in Sixteen auditioning to be in Twice as the youngest of the trainees. Love that she never gave up her dream of being a gg member. Kiss of Life looks and sounds very promising. Will be following them!

You're welcome 🙂

Good point. I hope you're right that we're very far off from that reality. It's best to be prepared, though. Productivity increases from AI use across industries may bring us the hardware needed for encryption-breaking quantum computing algorithms sooner than we think.

With a grant of €1.5 million by the German government, Tutanota will develop the first post-quantum secure cloud storage and file sharing solution.
