Install Ubuntu.
Just built a gaming pc for my wife. Installed Ubuntu. Everything just…worked? Even wireless drivers.
Install steam. Go through menus to enable Proton. Install Hogwarts Legacy. Works fine.
Most I had to do was edit a single text file to get her 8bitdo controller to work.
Yeah. It probably feels like a missed opportunity, but ask anyone who went through with it and I’m betting most of them are fucked up as a result.

Yeah, since it’s exclusively for gaming, I tried Drauger which is allegedly some gamer-based distro. Took an hour to get WiFi working then it hard locked at the login screen after running updates.

What’s also surprising is that Blue Sky Studios who created the franchise was shut down in 2021.
So pretty shitty that they shut them down just to continue the franchise without them.
