If the hero of the movie that plays in my mind busts into the house and says "I can't save all of humanity without a working Iomega ZIP drive!!!" well friends, we are indeed saved because I have 2.

Made an edit to the post because I just remembered that I have 3 more frame locks that I didn't think about... So this day is starting off as a bit of a head scratcher.
There are some who curate their collections which...is probably what I should be doing but it's not in my nature. Knife Swap on the other place is full of guys essentially leasing knives as they go from one to the next.
I am a pack rat for a lot of things that make no sense so this is par for the course. (If you want some early to mid-2000's computer hardware I've got you covered!)
The only other really active community I've found in the Lemmyverse (for just knives and not overall EDC) is here: https://lemmy.world/c/[email protected]
I cross-posted it there and hopefully members of that group will also post here on lemmy.world.
What a great thing to do for the community here! Is this for lemmy.world only or can this be cross-posted?
I am going to be posting but I don't need to be in the drawing as my friend is already printing parts from those awesome STL files. 😀
I might have mentioned this elsewhere and/or before but I didn't start collecting knives until late 2017 early 2018. And my first Benchmade wasn't purchased until 2019. Prior to that, I didn't really know that there were more to folding knives than gas station garbage, SAK, or Buck. So I am slowly catching up to a lot of knife history. Case in point, I had no idea that Benchmade had overseas manufacturing. That's wild. Makes me wonder what other fun things I don't know and you'll eventually reveal! 😁
I'm sorry for not posting more. I have been incredibly busy and haven't had the time to sit down and photograph any of the new knives that have come in (damn you holiday sales!). You're doing good work here!
(No, not named after that kind of harrier. The other kind. )
As we all know the bird was named after the plane so it comes full circle. 😉
Well crap, now I need to buy a 3D printer.
In all seriousness, this is fantastic. I do have a couple friends with 3D printers so I will see if they can print me up my first ever bali!
Looks very nice. Do you EDC it?
There's nothing I wanted more as a kid than a set of throwing stars. They really do fill in a ton of "beavis and butthead laughing"-style checkboxes.
Civivi has prototyped a swapable utility blade based on the button lock Elementum II that I really hope goes into production. Obviously, it will be more spendy than this Gerber but I expect the quality to be high so probably worth it.
I'm curious if you can front-flip these. It seems like you might be able to if the action is just right?
