Any knife is a good choice as long as it appeals to you! Everything else is just figuring out what does and doesn't work for your needs and then... buying more knives ๐ Congrats and as they say during this holiday season:

Not in the office today so different background and fairly direct lighting.
A classic. Great utility, hard working, no-nonsense. I did swap out the pocket clip on mine for the short deep-carry. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use for sharpening?
The nice thing about right now (not this second but 2023/2024) is that there is a huge variety of inexpensive knives that are of very good quality. What used to be flee-market-or-gas-station-garbage-knife prices will now get you a knife that will last you, if not the rest of your life, for a good long while. It's rather amazing. No need to break the bank for a quality product for sure.
I had one of it closed but it was crap so I didn't post it. I took these at work rather quickly (hence the yellow note pad) and didn't want to risk someone walking by and seeing me and then immediately call HR. ๐
This is the way.
Today should be that day! ๐
This is the truth!
The Chevalier is great. I agree with all the reasons you give there. I wanted the non-coated blade so I went with the G10 but I feel like I should have purchased the micarta version too and swapped the blades.
The Civivi Conspirator is the same knife body but different blade shape, FYI, if you ever get the urge to buy another knife. :)
If you pair this with the Opinel Picnic you'll have the means to maybe kill your meal and the means to eat it like a civilized person ๐
