(Testing the bot out with daily SplatNet posts right now)

Would also love to hear any feedback or issues anyone might have with the post.

Honestly, I don't 100% know, but I feel like it does, based on what I've seen here and there.

It might not get reflected on other services, but on the main instance it looks like it gets updated correctly, either way!

I'm probably about the same. I like the ice cream colors this time around, though, and I'm pretty excited for tricolor on Barnacle and Dime!

Lemmy had a cross site scripting vulnerability happen, potentially you had login issues due to that

Yeah, I saw that! It seems like I'm still having issues even after the 2 separate updates, though, but it sounds like I'm probably the exception, fortunately/unfortunately.

Also, I don’t see the point of posting rotations etc considering @splatoon3ink already does a great job.

Yep yep. I was also feeling that, to be honest. I figured it'd be a nice option for anyone who wanted to discuss them more, though, and potentially get some easy reminders from the posts, too.

It seems like, based on the few votes the poll's gotten at least, the main interests are Splatnet gear, random rotations, game updates, and league challenges, so I'll probably try and stick with those for the time being! Could also ask again in the future to check how it feels after it's been implemented for a bit, either way.

Appreciate the extra info! Seems like it might be something I need to have the bot find out somehow, still.

Also lemmy.world's been giving me some login issues after the most recent update, don't know if anyone else might be experiencing that?

It seems like clearing the site's cache/hard reloading worked for me, after doing it while on the site's homepage, but it feels like it can still happen randomly, to be honest.

Yeah, I wish! They'd even be able to host their own instance so more security for them on that part + the ability to make/retrieve rss/json requests from mastadon would help the bot a lot with parsing and rehosting the posts here, honestly.

Lol poor reef slider! Very nice splat, though.

Personal experience, with brella, I usually hate playing it but also kinda like playing against it. Tenta feels a bit tougher to fight, though, especially with it showing up more after the most recent update, I think.

But also, if I'm playing a shooter, I usually just nope outta most brella encounters, to be honest, lol.

Thanks! Hoping it can be.

There's been a few road bumps with Nintendo going all-in on Twitter and trying to get updates from there, to be honest, but at least the game data's pretty available through other channels created by some awesome people in the community! ^^

Hey!

While the community's been ramping up a bit, I wanted to go ahead and gauge how everything feels so far and if there's anything you might be interested in seeing on here?

(Been looking into setting up some automatic news and update posts, too, so that might be something else you can expect in the near future!)

Hope everyone's week's been chill and I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Fixes to Multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue where the game would run slower than expected during battles compared to Ver. 3.1.1 or earlier.
  • Took measures to fix an issue in Clam Blitz mode where, if a player passed a clam or power clam to an ally standing in front of the goal, that clam or power clam would remain in the ally’s possession even if it was counted as going into the goal.
  • Fixed an issue in Clam Blitz mode that sometimes caused a clam to not travel according to the predicted trajectory line shown by pressing the button to throw it.
  • Fixed an issue in Anarchy Battle (Open) that always caused a communication error to occur when joining a group with friends, depending on the status of the group’s members.

Fixes to Salmon Run

  • Fixed an issue where the game would run slower than expected during shifts compared to Ver. 3.1.1 or earlier.

Other Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the game would run slower than expected in Splatsville compared to Ver. 3.1.1 or earlier.

Welcome

Hey!

Whether you're coming here from r/Splatoon or discovered this place from somewhere else, I wanted to welcome everyone to the community!

At the moment things are still pretty new, but I'm hoping this can be a pretty chill spot to post and talk about Splatoon!

Banner/Icon

Even though the community already has a banner and icon setup, if anyone wants to take a whack at putting something together I'd love to update it!

Rules

Rules haven't really been set in stone, yet, but for the most part following lemmy.world's instance rules seems good, for now!

Mainly want to have them be more common-sense-driven and hopefully pretty easy to follow/understand.

Feel free to post whatever, but also marking anything that could be a little spoiler-y as NSFW and tagging with a [Spoiler] tag is probably a good idea, too!

Tldr; Fediverse/Threadiverse instances are pretty much just websites that can interact with each other. You have a main instance you can sign up, view, post, comment, and create communities on and if two instances find each other (usually via the search page), and haven't blocked one another, they'll mirror the data (minus login info) between themselves.

Either way hope you can bear with me, and stay fresh! くコ:彑
