  1. I don't need a license to fly this balloon. I do what I want.
  2. Stupid balloon police chasing my balloon in their stupid police cars.
  3. Check out this move. I fly out over the sea. Balloon police can't follow me. I am never seen again

Websites only have to show this annoying pop-up if they're trying to track you with cookies. If you're annoyed, it's the result of the site's shitty data practices

It was an SUV. The leaflet the protesters left and which is quoted in the article points out it's not just the emissions that are dangerous but the increased likelihood of these vehicles killing people in a collision

Britain’s prime minister? Asian. London’s mayor? Asian. Scotland’s first minister? Asian. His main opponent? Asian. As for the probable next chairman of the BBC, he isn’t Cornish.

Extremely weird of the author to use Cornish here, I am sure that identity has always been underrepresented in British high society

Starting to think it's deliberate now.
I remember seeing a clip of Jackie Chan in a documentary talking about why the fight scenes in original kung fu movies were so much more visceral than American made ones, one of the techniques he describes is filming a punch from a wide-angle, then using a close up for the impact, but importantly having the same half-second of action in both shots so you would connect the two. Anyway i think of that every time I see this phenomenon
