My boyfriend and I have been looking for a house to buy for a loooong time before we bought our current home. One of the things we would do after viewing a potential house is “the cat test” which ment walking around the neighbourhood trying to find friendly cats.

Ik woon in Groningen en wat jij beschrijft is helaas al decennialang de normale gang van zaken op de huurmarkt. Ik ken persoonlijk al 5 mensen die om dezelfde reden een huis uit zijn gegaan. Een markt die gedreven wordt door een constante nieuwe stroom aan kwetsbare (internationale) studenten is een perfecte kans gebleken voor de kakkerlakken in onze samenleving. Toen ik een studentenkamer zocht in 2009 ging er een zwarte lijst van meerdere kantjes rond. Veel malafide huisbazen stonden daar met meerdere aliassen op (je verzint het niet). Ik hoop zo dat deze wet een einde gaat maken aan de wetteloosheid.
