I use that everytime with film grain. Also without grains I always noticed blocky patches around the edges (which can still be found but much less) in many of my encodes.

You are probably patching wrong. Try with nodpi apk from apkmirror, the manager will show you which version it can patch so don't just patch any version of YT.
Gesture nav really bothers while gaming. For the rest, it works fluidly.

I don't think they are creating any hype at all. Its a ministry, not a firm launching a brand new product lineup. Its not even like they are releasing a new linux distro for public.

You can just remove those device and media control buttons from the quick panel layout.
For me, they both lose details the same way, AOM is just higher quality and compresses even better, neither of which is feasible for personal use at this time. I have some hope for rav1e but it is not mature enough and also missing many features, so not using that either.
