Actually waterfox seemed really interesting for me. Because the icon was very nice on top of all the privacy options.

I understand that perfectly, that's precisely why I also listed XMPP. Also, IRC suits the need many people till this day.

What about XMPP or IRC?

I am very new to linux and all the open source stuff (my first post on lemmy actually) so I don't get how this stuff works but flathub is saying that floorp is proprietary. But after a quick google search it says that floorp is open source licensed under MPL 2.0

There is a this app called upscale, that uses an ML model to upscale images. It's Quite good at what it does, it's useful. I use it frequently. So, there are AI stuff in linux. Just not your myopic view of AI (LLMs). And your analogy with printing press is extremely wrong. Other than human errors, printing press didn't have have remotely as many errors as LLMs. LLMs have not evolved to the point of causing a a revolution. So linux has plenty of time to see if the bandwagon sinks or sprints.

A lot of people lost their home and place of work in Ayodhya due to this "Ram Rajya". That might be a big factor in deciding this result.

There is a project, but it's really early in it's development. It's called Cabal. Has a nice desktop client, looks kinda like Discord. It's p2p, so no server required. BUT AGAIN, VERY EARLY IN DEVELOPMENT.

Not something you should use, but look out for how the development is going.

Yeah. I still don't understand all the encryption stuff. I lost all my encrypted texts even after I used my recovery pass phrase on a new session.

Not just X11 apps, it doesn't work properly even in webapps.

Well, there's not really many good alternative, but used to use Onboard which has some good features. You can give that a try.
