When I saw the extra Marcille designs I thought they were pulled from early concepts, poor girl, not a single fashion appreciater in her party.
There was another ship moment when they were standing in front of the window, they looked like a cute family. Unfortunately, I just don't see Laios as the romantic sort.

Before watching this episode I rewatched last week's episode, ended up enjoying it a lot more on second watch. Guess it was just a mismatch of my expectations and what the episode ended up being, still wish it was paced better.
Really liked this episode, although it did end on bit of an anti-climax. All the build up of tensions between humans and mutants didn't really get a big resolution of any kind, there was no exploration of fallout from everything that occurred. Maybe they'll explore that next season.
Was really hoping Madelyne would come back some way, seems like a waste to just have her die after having a whole episode dedicated to her and fleshing her out as a character but I guess having two characters who are basically the same wouldn't have made sense.
Loved all the action, Rogue going ham was really cool.
Cyclops doing talk-no-jutsu was a bit odd, like Genosha wasn't that long ago. Didn't like that but othersise good episode and a fantastic season all in all, I'll definitely binge it at some point before season 2 starts. Hopefully won't be a long wait.
Maybe eventually when I wanna practice some animal anatomy 😅

The spell Maizuru used to keep track of Izu may not actually be lethal. She used to use the exact same spell to keep Shuro from running off as a child, so it might be that all it does is scare the subject.
It definitely seemed lethal with the way it was using that knife, probably a modified version of the same spell that she used for Shuro, I think.
Izu wants her curse broken, but it wasn't placed on her by the Nakamotos.

I don't know, if that were the case it would've been shown I think, considering the curse placed on her Shuro would've said something about that if he was concerned. Marcille explains that separating souls is kinda impossible even for a mage of her caliber, I don't think Shuro would've assumed that she could do it.

I understand how he is the way he is and why that's interesting but yeah, still don't like him, maybe my opinion will change in the future.

I can never ever predict where this show will go next, it's insane how nothing ever proceeds in a way that I expect and it also never feels unnecessarily subversive, so good! Even though it's supposed to be a very old-school style fantasy, it's such a fresh story.
