Thank you!
I'm an archivist and on Lemmy.world, and so far it doesn't look like a full time job, so I'm available as mod if you want.
Thank you! The other commenter also mentioned Space Exploration, I'll have to give it a try
Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to try it. Thanks!
Oh, I fully agree the mother and daughter should have used a platform that doesn't harvest data. Facebook is famous for harvesting every scrap of data it can, and abusing it for as much money as they can. Zuck has no conscience whatsoever, and has proven to value money over lives.
And as such, he can't use end to end encryption, as it would prevent him from abusing the content. Everyone should be aware their messages on Facebook are one warrant away from publicity.
Isn't this just "Facebook complied with court order"? I dislike their data hoarding like everyone else, but I also think Facebook doesn't get to decide to ignore court orders.
They shower the pizza with cheese, and any cheese that doesn't land on top of the pizza is collected and used for the next. Pretty standard practice when making food
If lack of cleanliness bothers you, many take-out places are a no-go.
I've stopped using LinkedIn because it keeps defaulting to Relevant instead of Recent, and Relevant apparently means posts from 2 weeks ago. But at least there you can manually set it to Recent every time.
A social medium where sorting by Recent is impossible will be a no-go.
It's a Lemmy app that I like. The standard web app version of Lemmy feels cluncky to me, and I like the presentation of LiftOff
I just woke up, opened the app out of habit, saw a 429 error, and uninstalled. There's an empty spot on my home screen now that I'll fill with LiftOff after a mourning period
I liked the idea of circles. I'm part of multiple social circles and what might be interesting for one could very well be meaningless for another circle.
