Very unpopular opinion: it’s good that mainstream media is self censoring because this undermines their usefulness and authority, eventually allowing better media to gain more followers.

New republic tends to get too optimistic and hopeful during these admin changes. if one looks at what they printed in 2016 and 2020 a pattern starts to show.

A good way to tell the long term future of a state is to see how ballots are counted, and if the published stats pass United Nations tests for fair elections.

Most states flunk, some pass, it’s been a few years since I last checked, so I’m not going to give potentially bad info. But it falls down to what one might suspect, more blue states pass than red states

I think that band of red around the Gulf of Mexico is long lasting effects of increased hurricanes.

There is increased awareness of how the background death rate massively increases for decades after each major storm

So more long term care, more hospice and more benefits being paid out

It’s still much much much better to be in some states than others. It’s also far easier to move now while there is still freedom of interstate movement. It may not get so bad, but why make any assumptions?

Even if that is true, if this is going to happen, the number of people victimized will be far more than the capacity of this new detention.

I think this currently is more about standard government corruption than anything else, it’s not liberal or conservative: just money changing hands.

Improving health coverage is theoretically possible, and later on they may get better, but the only things that will improve are a few blue states and even then it’s just small changes.

So dreams of large non violent change are as futile as the murderous rage. Best one can do is make more money or move to a better area or immigrate.

The article you linked is them scamming multinationals by faking metrics of ad campaigns they helped design , and that www3 subdomain is gone, apparently it only mirrored ads they ran on the main site.

The links are easy to find and you get directed to the sales department if you try

Yea but this is a one off thing, nobody is going to keep shooting people like him because otherwise it would have already happened many times.

This murder was probably another asshole, he knew, putting a hit on him
