These people are so brave and I hope I'll live to see the day they can live their lives in freedom and peace.

I use duckduckgo and lately have been adding Lemmy at the beginning (like I did Reddit) and it really works. Search results come back if there is a discussion going on about the topic.

There are no Hamas on the West bank I'm told. They are restricted to Gaza and that's why it was an open air prison. These are just Palestinians that live and work there, but are not connected to Gaza.

Besides that, they moved all the real soldiers and reservists to the frontline and allowed among others, settlers to do the policing in the region with maybe 1 IDF person in charge when shit happens. I truly believe that's the reason why we're seeing this. It's assholes driving around, looking for Palestinians torturing and killing them. Afterwards it's always in self defense.

My mind is still baffled that you can let outside sources give government members money to do their bidding and call it 'lobbying.'

I mean if this happened where I live, we'd call it bribery.

AOC is on fire lately. I'm a big fan of her.

I live in a country where wages are linked to a central index.

The index measures how expensive life is becoming. If the prices of products and services rise, the index rises accordingly. If the figure exceeds the so-called central index, benefits and wages will automatically increase.

So, this happened in October again and next month I'll have an increase of 2% in wages.

It's more complicated than that, but most countries should use this to protect at the very least handicapped, sick or unemployed people who live on benefits.

It's not much, but it helps in a way.

That's why I'm trying to limit my time here, but I also just want to follow the news and see some cat pics.

Best thing to do is condemn terrorist Hamas on the one side and Netanyahu/IDF/extremist settlers that harass West bank palestinians on the other side.

And pray for the Jewish and Palestinian civilians. Because they are the ones suffering.

I've heard that taking magazines is bad from my hairdressers, because everyone has a different face shape and not every haircut is suited for that. It's better to figure out what your face shape is and look up online which haircuts go with that.

Something like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/400538960585397380/)

Also, look up middle eastern hair cuts from your peers, I descend from that region, so our hair tends to be very different from other people. I found this: https://www.pinterest.com/christopherdru/middle-eastern-cuts/ online, there are some cool haircuts there.

I also found this: https://www.arabianbusiness.com/lifestyle/wellness/the-modern-man-s-guide-grooming-601108 article online.

The most important thing is good hygiene: shower daily/everythime you get sweaty. If you can't shower one day, the minimum should be washing with a washcloth your face, neck, ears, armpits, boy parts (front and back). It's mostly the same when you take an abdest before praying.

Brush teeth daily two times a day at the least. Floss if you can or have access to a waterpik, that's easier.

Clip hand and toenails regularly (once a week) and maybe even shape them with a file.

Use deodorant under armpits (but not too much)

Take care of your skin: moisturize with a good cream, you can never start too young. BUT if you have skin problems, visit a dermatologist first. U can also do a face mask every week, clay masks are really good at getting your skin clean.

Don't forget to let someone do your eyebrows if you have bushy eyebrows, they shape your face too.

These are all tips from a woman, but hey they are valid for men too I guess.

Also, every time I visit Turkey for example, they have these salons where they do everything: hair, nails, feet, facemasks, waxing, ... And it's very cheap. I loved being pampered for a few hours! There should be something like that in Iran for men too, maybe look around a little (depending on your budget of course).

Good luck and remember you're a work in progress. Trying out different things is the fun stuff, don't take it too seriously when something doesn't work well, it grows out really fast.

Edit: on mobile, so format is off

Yeah, just makes it easier to get large numbers of you in what, 6 bombs or so? Sorry our aim is so shitty, but hey we'll get there.

I truly believe the Israeli military and government want to kill off a large part of civilians before the international backlash gets so bad, they have to stop.

That's why they're Vetoing against humanitarian aid via the US, that's why they bomb indiscriminately. They're doing a Big CULL and terrorize the remaining, surviving mostly children so they'll always be too traumatized to hit back later. And they hope cholera outbreaks and/or disease after the war will finish off the rest.

Well, history tells us they're wrong and this will happen again and again until peace is reached.

It shouldn't stop us and we should honour Palestinian civilian casualties (no one cares about Hamas) with a wall of pictures, just as the Israeli do. It humanises them and also, attaching a name and face to a victim helps us to feel more empathy.

Everybody's talking about numbers, let's see their faces, hopes and dreams. The least we can do.

Nothing new, and expected at this point. Disgusting...
