I know Belfius still has a few ATMs inside the building, they do show your balance. During the day you can enter without swiping your card, but after certain hours you have to your card to get in.

Also, they have the banking app so you can always check your balance and do payments as long as you have a debit or credit card. Unless you have a special expenses card when in debt collection I think.

Trust me, I moved to a rural region and understand half of what these people say and I was born here :) it's a tough language to learn, but you'll get there. Also Belgians are exposed to other nationalities since the 60's and know how to communicate non-verbally if they have to. Most of them have learned Dutch, French, German and know English.

And this time it will be worse, because the population is globalized and not homogeneous, so minorities will bear the worst of it...again. The difference is, I think this time they'll hit back, so civil unrest is not excluded.

No one is talking about global peace anymore, we have to get together worldwide and try to work to get peace in every country, everywhere. Maybe that way, we can get ALL countries to sign something in the way of the Geneva conventions, but add more binding protections for civilians. That way, when a country is struggling with terrorists, the whole world can help diffuse that, instead of this shit show.

It's naïve, I know, but we have the intelligence, surveillance, money and power to do it. Just not the willingness.

Off topic, but there's something really really wrong with this guy. I don't like the continuous half smirk on his face. I don't like absolutely anything about him and find him creepy.

It's not about time or trying something new. Sometimes you're in so much pain, sadness, helplessness or the opposite, not feeling anything, nothing you do gives you any enjoyment, food tastes like ashes in your mouth, ... This is something like clinical depression and therapy is really needed at this point.

But not everyone has access to health care or it's too expensive. Or they have waiting lists of two years, ....

Hi there, know the feeling. When I'm depressed I can't focus on reading or anything TV related to get my mind off of things.

I stick to short story collections, audiobooks, comedy shows with episodes less than half an hour or podcasts. Maybe this can help you too.
