theres a large amount of space on the other side of the fridge for a battery, perhaps large enough to fit an old EV battery mounted vertically

i like to think that a skilled composites designer looked at a far more bare bones version of this and decided that they were the ones who made the slick white shell and completely integrated the unit, just something they wanted to do in their much freer life, and maybe a jab at the old corporate history that they can say "hey! its not just corpos that can make sleek, good looking appliances!"

I love it. Thought Emporium bothered me a lot when i found them, but now i just can't wait to see what ethically dubious things they try to singlehandedly will into existence

it takes a lot to make something that can think though. we should be careful, for sure, but as long as we make networks within the full extent of our puny understanding, we won't be able to make anything as complicated as an entity that can be wronged.

the issue is, we've already passed the point of making things entirely within our grasp. we've already made things that tell is what we are doing is wrong. we just don't trust them yet.

theres actually a youtuber attempting the same thing, Thought Emporium, trying to make a meat computer play Doom, though i think he's moved off human cells now

i've reinstalled Linux far more times than Windows because of Pop_OS being a stupidly broken distro and my stubbornness to keep using it for good gaming support. ZorinOS has treated me better, but i still just don't know how to do the things i want to on it. i can barely figure out how to run an executable despite having grown up with Ubuntu since the beginning. I would have grown up using Linux my whole life if my school laptops weren't running Windows. Now i just cannot use Linux for more than a week without going back to Windows.
