That was an interesting story, I mainly blame the experiment that alters default config behavior, where ideally default value should works fine
Skyrim rerelease doesn't really change anything, I don't even think it cost Bethesda much to rerelease it. Your other listed games are remakes made from ground up. It's like comparing Indie games and AAA games in term of development

Half of new games also still released on PS4. Lies of P is the latest example. It's almost 10 years, I don't think 10 years old PC can still play that
