I thankfully was raised in the exact region and community with the correct religion and prevailing political views. /s

In reality, humanities courses in university, living in the many different types of communities (urban, suburban, rural), and good parents who taught me not to take claims at face value.

If newspapers had embraced the Web 20 years ago they could have been Facebook or eBay, rather than having all there core revenue fall away.

Could you expand on this? I have a hard time imagining high quality journalism outcompeting social media, since its content is simply so much slower to produce and less entertaining.

If the crush is persisting for years it’s not a healthy friendship. Sure, crushing for a few months then fading, great, you can be friends. But if it’s been years and you’re still holding a flame, clearly proximity to this person is keeping you from getting over the crush.

Friendship is not one person secretly being in love with the other.

Real talk. If you find yourself hanging around a crush for years with no reciprocation, move on.

Even if it somehow happens, it won’t work out. There’s a reason y’all aren’t together right now, and it would be the same reason y’all would never last.

You’ll be much happier talking to new people and you’ll be much more likely to find someone who actually likes you back.

Private companies aren’t going to do the right thing just for the sake of it, because any moral sacrifice on their part will give ground to other companies that won’t do the right thing. It has to be fixed through regulation, ushered in through representatives elected by average people.

But most average people don’t care. They want lower taxes and cheaper gas.
