I’ve been on an Ursula le guin kick. Finished Left Side of Darkness, started Earthsea series (just book one) and am finishing up Dispossessed (since it’s due back to inter library loan soon). But sure what’s next. I have the expanse books on hand, but the semesters about to start and things get busy.

That’s a good point. I know they have crazy jet gas things for woks, but I felt like the regular hobs I’ve used have taken a little longer to boil water than on our electric. It wasn’t a big deal, I just expected the opposite when I first fired it up

I don’t think gas gets as hot as electric—only really matters for a tea kettle though.

When you kill the flame, it just stops. You don’t need to jostle pans around to not burn your rice. Or remember which burner was still warm.

Cast iron on a gas range is cooking bliss.

You can cook corn tortillas right on the hob if you want to get them toasty :)

This is so dumb and stupid and I love it! You made me groan :)

I use hckrnews.com as my interface for it and usually just look at the top 10 of the day.

First thing I saw was the Campari. Have you tried an iced coffee Negroni/americano? Super delicious. Iced coffee, vermouth, Campari. I also found that aperol in iced coffee went pretty well.

Otherwise, I love this setup! Moka pot, espresso, liquor cabinet. It’s all there!

Hmm, interesting. I love cumin though! I have found that when quinoa is the main star, it gets an odd flavor sometimes. Quinoa doesn't seem to absorb flavor like other grains.

We've loved this recipe: https://www.thecentsableshoppin.com/sweet-potato-black-bean-quinoa-chili/ and make it fairly often. The quinoa is there, but not the star of the dish, which makes it blend a little better? Thanks for the review though! I'll be sure to reduce the quinoa up the chocolate :)

Would this mean a copy and a paste of the config folder would bring up a new KDE system to my personalizing without going through konsave juggling?

I think that’s my biggest complaint that I don’t know how to import my desktop config (window decorations, panel layout, desktops, activities, fonts, application themes) into a new install easily or the “proper” way

Wow, that looks delicious! Thanks for sharing!

Oh no! I had a great experience with 2 men and a truck when I he used them! No idea it was associated with the 1 800 junk folks

Is this showing complexity of your init confit for org growing, or an org file for a project growing?

I don’t think I quite get it :(
