Sorry for the late reply. I was jumping from instance to instance.

Thi is now my app ranking

  1. Connect for Lemmy
  2. Jerboa
  3. Liftoff for Lemmy
  4. Firefox browser (mobile eeb display for lemmy is underrated)
  5. Wefwef (it has no block instance and user option, yet)

When you're reading the post title, then suddenly new posts come in and bump the current post. And now you're lost.

Also if you click a post and after you go back to the feed. The browser doesn't remember your position. And now you're lost again.

That's what started me too. Then it snowballed as i tried every other app available to install. And now i cannot go back.

You can do dat with liftoff for lemmy. They have and everything "All" Section where all of your logged in instance in the app is combined into one feed.

That's the thing. If someone defederates with you, and you wand a community on that instance. Then you are free to make the lost community in your instance. And if re-federation happens, both community can co exist without problems.

Also you can make an account on the instance that defederated. So you still can view the community you want.

I thought it was from the wefwef users of lemmy. My eyes were fixin on the letters w e and f.

Glad it was not the case. As wefwef is a great web app

Besides the unsettling idea that we are like a message board in public display. It's good to know that our data are somewhat immune to being monetized. .

That's not meant for humans. They forgot to encrypt their secret message. Someone's going to be devoured tonight.

What are the chances that the instance owners join together and buid a cartel or corporation. Then sells our data.

Let's stay away from kbin then. They have karma there (reputation)

[–] Thunder_Caulk 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yeah i was really disappointed on seeing karma ( reputation) displayed on kbin. Some posters are really concerned that the computation in their karma is not accurate.

Agree to disagree then. In any case what name it takes, is just second in importance to the usability it provides. And I'm all for that, no matter what it will be called.
