I'm so sick of "That doctor won't debate this opinionated jackass because the doc knows he'll lose!"

No, he just knows it's a waste of time. Why bring an educated, nuanced, well thought out position to a shit-flinging contest?

Same. Now I'm just holding out hope for Lemmy is Fun.

I feel like this would be highly dependent on your resume.

Might catch some looks if your work experience is mostly Dennys and Walmart and you're trying to hide a six month gap behind an NDA.

Exactly. I just.. Stopped using it. Everyone else like me wouldn't be part of the conversation.

I could certainly see them gaming the algorithm a bit too, to make it look more active. I think we'll just have to wait and see, if advertisers/investors pull out.

Funny thing for me, is that Beehaw was the first bit of the Fediverse I ever came across. Tried to sign up, twice, didn't work. So that's how I ended up on .world, the first group I found that didn't want an essay to sign up.

That's great! I tend to think about contingencies more cuz I tend to go solo/small groups. I think pinning it is a good idea too.

Love the list!

I'd add, make sure you're letting somebody know when to expect to hear from you, and your planned route(s).

I tell somebody, "I'm going to, place. I expect I'll call you by time. If we're running late maybe time. If I haven't contacted you by unreasonably late time please call for help."

Seems so basic but a lot of time rescuers don't even have a clue where to start looking in the early hours. If they even know there's a problem at all. That early start can make all the difference.

The thing that drove me crazy about this, how much money did they spend on a major victory for Satan?

Lowest number I've seen is $16.1 million, which is enough to feed and/or house how many people? But this shit ran for 8 years worldwide, no way it doesn't cost 100's of millions.

Well f**k, back to church I guess!

Edit* some filter or another got mad at me for language

Edit again** Not sure exactly the problem. When I try to make a new comment on exmormon I get an error "language_not_allowed" I assumed swearing but maybe it's something on my end. Seems I can edit my comments. Ah well. I'm new here still working it all out.

Mine quit to the home screen without an error message.

I searched Utah and it turned up just fine, if anyone is having the same problem.
