I've been using Connect ([email protected]) and, while it's not the same, it feels fairly similar to RIF (which I used to use) after some customization.
These things are the standard for apps nowadays; it's Connect and other Lemmy apps that are the outliers. I don't blame that dev for wanting some return on their work, but I am happy that we have so much choice in Lemmy apps that I can choose to use something else instead.

Total reimagining of Nucleus for Halloween; a Player Destruction map, with a separate "underworld" arena for depositing. Looks well made, Nucleus seems pretty hard to reskin but they've done a good job.
It's supposed to be for the Team Fortress franchise overall, I think, so we're definitely a lot of years out of date. Kinda sad.
