They're only doing what everyone else is right now. B2B companies in particular are going nuts with it. I know several companies that pivoted their entire near-term strategy to focus on the value AI/ML can bring to their customers.

It actually is pretty accurate, within inches when measuring across relatively short distances. Try it yourself by measuring a known quantity like a baseball field or football field. Accuracy will obviously degrade over much longer distances, but it is more than sufficient to measure your yard.
No 96 year old is mentally fit to perform such an essential function with long-term implications. Just retire already.

The circle area is not a solar farm. There are solar panels in the top left of the image, though. It would be very inefficient to put solar panels in a circular array like this.
