Thanks for the advice. I will definitely add multiple passes with random data to the tool

Description:

RAM wiping, or clearing the contents of Random Access Memory, is an important practice for enhancing privacy and security. When applications are used or when browsing the internet, sensitive data can temporarily reside in RAM, and wiping it ensures that this information is not recoverable after the session ends, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized access. Additionally, attackers can employ techniques to scrape memory for sensitive information like passwords and credit card numbers; regular RAM wiping mitigates this risk by removing such data before it can be exploited.

Features:
  • Small codebase
  • Runs in a loop (optional)
  • Wipes free RAM space using zeroes
  • Written in Bash

Thanks alot ❤️ I updated the readme file.

Wiping free disk space, clearing system logs and cache are effective ways to enhance privacy by ensuring that sensitive data is completely removed from a system. When files are deleted, they often leave behind residual data in the free space on the disk, which can be recovered by forensic tools.

Features:
  • Wipes free disk space, system logs and cache
  • Small codebase
  • Built in C++

It stores all message data exclusively in volatile RAM, ensuring that no logs are retained and messages are automatically erased when the server is powered down or restarted. This ephemeral storage, combined with client-side quantum-resistant end-to-end encryption and default traffic routing over the Tor network, enhances user anonymity. Additionally, Amnesichat includes defenses against traffic analysis, operates efficiently on cheaper hardware, and supports group chats with pre-shared keys.

If you actually want to help, come to our Matrix chatroom, and we can address those "issues".

They are saying this to degrade the reputation of Amnesichat, and I am not working on this project alone. They are not even specifying what kind of security issues exist.

Im planning to make it decentralized in future, for now it's centralized to keep anti-forensic properties
