iOS has Mlem (very early alpha, very buggy) and Memmy (slightly further along, still alpha but a bit more polished).

Seems like it’s mostly trickling to his legal teams

In what way was it “troubled”? This is the first I’ve heard about it, and the article doesn’t expand on that either. It’s making me feel like I’m the out of touch one who hasn’t kept up with every bit of news about a small ice cream company…

When there are accidents, the insurance company has to pay out. So no, they don’t really make money on accidents.

The perfect insurance company customer is the one that pays a modest premium every month and never gets in an accident.

I’m testing Mlem and Memmy, so far I am preferring Memmy for stability and a slightly better UX.

My assumption about how the chips work is that the M2 does the computing work while the R1 does the work of processing the camera input and display output. So the M2’s processing power is not relevant to the resolution of the displays.

It’s hard for me to imagine any legislation that could affect fediverse that doesn’t affect email (unless email is explicitly excluded from the legislation I guess), which is good because email is one of the few parts of the internet that even old farts understand. No chance they vote in a bill that kills e-mail.
