Azeroth is home.

I just finished that segment. Wasn't sure how they'd translate it to the remake (I've lived under a rock to avoid any spoilers / controversy)

I was in tears laughing so hard I had to do it 3 times. glorious. They went HARD

I don't know, but why are we judging Bob for the fruit he likes?

I’m more miffed

I'm more miffed that anyone gave enough shits about a cartoon depiction of an ass in a childs cartoon show to have spent the time even getting miffed about it.

I've had it happen with a few apps. They distribute the binaries with the version number in the filename, so on updates, it changes the file name.

it's fucking stupid way of versioning things.

It's about what you pay for. live in a place that doesn't invest in utilities and infrastructure, don't be surprised that you don't have the latest greatest.

My city in Canada paid to ensure everyone has fibre to the door. we had it rolled out a few years ago.

We have cable options up to 2gbps, and fibre up to 5gbps currently. Enterprise / corporate fibre is also available at easily 50-100gbps. (I have 2 x 20gbps for my Datacentres)

Petty Reason's for me. I won't use it.

I've not once been convinced of a single good reason to actually use it. There are already enough existing package managers and distributions. It seems like someone created yet another one just to have yet, claimed another one.

There's enough linux distribution methods that don't need yet another one like flatpak.

I would stay away from perfumes and things that are heavily scented. you never know what allergies or reactions they might have to that. Also lots of people really find those things offensive.

unless you already know she likes a specific perfume, stick to something from the heart or simple like a nicer box of chocolate.

I'm sure she did all that for you because she's one of the good teachers and expects absolutely zero back from you.

A simple note, and maybe a small gift (Chocolate as other mentioned is fine, but maybe a small permanent thing. if you shared your love of something with her, maybe something related?

but the note is probably the thing that will mean the most to her. Especially if you write it from the heart.

as for you and your changes. What a tremendous amount of growth you've exhibited here. You've clearly learned and improved yourself. your writing is very well done and thoughtful.

congrats on your personal growth. I am just an older dude on the internet (probably your dad's age) and I can only say that based on what you've written here, I am proud of you.

Loved BG3. but it was the hit it was because it was done by people who love the D&D world and didn't attempt to live up to any specific monetary goals, nor did it rush out to try and beat some arbitrary deadline. it was done in the old style of development, by a relatively small team over long periods of time to showcase their labour of love.

given the history of D&D the company itself and it's more recent copyright monetization and attacking the playerbase for profit, I cannot see them pumping out other games that are anywhere CLOSE to what Larian produced.

Wee're going to get a whole lot of bullshit shovelware trying to ride BG3's excellence.

this is why we can't have nice things :(

Absolutely. it's a bad precedent.

Minimum wage staff still get tips though. I still tip here now that it's mandatory they get paid min wage. Overall, means that they make more than before they were earning min wage as well.

it's a big win. They ge ta living wage doing their jobs and they get bonuses in tips on top of their living wage instead of relying upon it.
