Just popping in to say I don't think lemmy.ml ever defederated from lemmy.world, they just had issues sending info to each other during the really busy weekend due to all the new users. They're definitely federated now, just checked their instance list at the bottom of the page.
I personally blocked the Beehaw communities I used to be in before they defederated because the only people who'd see and be able to interact with my posts and comments would be other lemmy.world users and it would be like a weird little echo chamber.
No idea if Beehaw will federate again, I guess we'll just have to wait and see but there's a lot out there in the mean time. And if you really want to join in Beehaw you can always make an account there.
Such a good app and it's getting better and better. I like how it handles having multiple accounts and really appreciate the notifications for replies/messages. Thank you!

Yeah DS9 was a bit more 'real' than the other seasons I think. Especially dealing with some pretty dark stuff like the war and how it was resolved, genocide was on the table like you say. Hmmm. Does make the federation look a bit different when you think about this shady stuff being allowed by the top brass because it works in their favour.
