Is there an alternative to computershared.net that keeps track of all the shares owned by insiders, institutions, etfs, retail etc? I thought Computershared did a fantastic job of keeping up to date numbers, but since it went down I haven't been able to find a good alternative.

The reason I ask is because it disappeared rather quietly, and considering how important share counts are, I thought it critically important to follow.

The latest info I have is from May 29th, 2023

  • 15% institutions
  • 12% mutual funds
  • 10% etfs
  • 13% insiders
  • 5% insider stagnant
  • 17.1% pure drs
  • 10.9% directstock
  • .1% operational efficiency

This gives a grand total of 81.6% of shares owned.

I find it curious that the website went down when ownership was hitting these levels. VW's short squeeze was 62.6% ownership of total shares by Porsche and Lower Saxony, and 32% were "owned" through options by Porsche. Northern Pacific Railway had 94% of its total shares owned by James Hill and JP Morgan.

If there are 18.4% shares remaining, that equates to 56,074,000 shares. At a current price of $16.36, someone would need roughly 16.36*56,074,000 = $974,370,640 dollars to buy the remaining float. Who, or which company has that?

It's because there are very few new users joining superstonk. Another way to look at it, there are very few new people learning about Gamestop and DRS. When Gamestop first caught fire on wsb there were 4-5 million members of that subreddit. Then it shifted to a sub that has 890k members, superstonk. Then there was a brief shift to the drsyourgme subreddit, but that was banned / censored, which had about 10-15k members. Now this lemmy has started, off reddit, outside of the censorship, there's a much better chance of introducing new people to Gamestop. Alternatively, and what I think is the best way, is to tell your friends and family! The total DRS count is 76 million. If everyone gets 1 person they know to DRS, the floats locked up. We're all armed with all the information we need.

This is a fantastic opportunity to increase interest in Gamestop and DRS. DRS has slowed down because the user growth rate on superstonk has plateaued. Imagine millions of people watching this movie and then being open to the idea of investing in Gamestop. It's the perfect opportunity to talk about DRS and increase interest to a vast number of new individuals. This movie will be in a space that superstonk mods and shills have zero power / influence in. It's fucking amazing this movie is coming out.

Hi everyone,

As an introduction I wanted to let everyone here know my mindset, which i'm sure is very similar to a lot of people already in here.

I believe that superstonk started out as a great community but overtime has become more and more compromised. I think the goal of mods right now is to put superstonk in a box with no windows, with the intent of severely limiting and eventually eliminating the spread of information surrounding GME and booked DRS.

I think what they're doing is extremely obvious. The rules regarding brigading, not being able to link users, no cross-posting, it all screams censorship. The server limitation of knowledge spreading to others who may not know about GME and DRS has kneecapped the growth rate in shareholders and DRS.

On top of that, DRS posts with fractionals, garbage TA posts, news posts highlighting the downside or short sellers instead of buyers, to name a few, all hit and sit on the front page. I think this is another form of distortion to confuse and emotionally trigger shareholders or would be shareholders.

Going forward, I think what Miller has done, creating drsgme.org is a fantastic solution. It strips out moderator control and provides straight forward information. It takes the stupid out and keeps the serious.

I think that to get the next big bump in DRS numbers each shareholder should talk about Gamestop to friends, family, co-workers, strangers at the bar...anyone who might be interested. I think that talk about how the system is corrupt, not fair etc has been talked about to death, and instead each shareholder should focus their energy on talking to other potential shareholders, because that's exactly what superstonk has put a cap on.

I realize that sounds all very serious, and I'm probably preaching to the choir here lol, but hey, just want to let everyone know what I'm about!
